🇺🇲Vietnam War Stories: Honoring the Heroes We Lost: Robert Dale Dixon of Florida


Today we honor Staff Sergeant Robert Dixon, of Plant City Florida, who served with the 9th Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 47th Infantry, C Company. Robert was fatally wounded on June 3, 1969 in the Long An province of South Vietnam. He was 21 years old.


A recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medals, Staff Sergeant Dixon is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington DC on Panel 23E Line 51. Robert lies in rest at Hebron Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Hillsborough County Florida. Lest We Forget.
